Helping each other can make world better
The Rotary Club of Rose Belle has proudly served its community since its inception, growing from a small group of visionaries into a dynamic force for good over the past 15+ years.
It all began on 4 April 2007, when seven dedicated individuals—Silvio Empeigne, France Augustin, René Soobaroyen, Prakash Torul, Rahoof Saib, Laval Moutou, and Jacques Armon—gathered to explore the creation of a Rotary Club in Rose Belle. Their vision soon gained momentum, and within weeks, the group expanded.
By 18 June 2007, under the leadership of District Governor Randhir Ramloll and with the support of the Rotary Club of Albion as sponsor, the Rotary Club of Rose Belle was granted Provisional Club status, boasting 20 enthusiastic members. Just a month later, on 17 July 2007, the Club was officially chartered with Silvio Empeigne serving as the Charter President. During a memorable banquet at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Center in Pailles, the club received its Charter Certificate from DG Christian Fuard.
Since its foundation, the Club has implemented numerous impactful projects and initiatives, consistently working to uplift and empower the community. Weekly meetings, once held at the District Council of Grand Port’s boardroom, later moved to Restaurant Comlone in Nouvelle France.
